Diego Naser, born in 1981 in Montevideo-Uruguay, is former member of the Uruguay Symphony Orchestra, Montevideo Philharmonic, "YOA", and "JMWO".
He studied Violin and Viola at the Graz Music University(Austria) with Prof. E. Haffner and Prof. H. Käfer (Artist Quarttet). In Vienna, he performed with several Orchestras like "Wiener Junge Philarmonie" , "Wiener Kammer-Philharmonie", "Sinfonieta Baden".
He toured China with "The Vienna Symphonic Players" as a Concertmaster.
Naser continued his Viola and Violin studies with C. Stahnke, K. Bachmann and C. Schickedanz. He worked with several German Orchestras as a Violist, "Kieler Philharmoniker", "Hamburger Camerata" and the "NDR Sinfonieorchester Hamburg".
He worked with many great artists like C. Eschenbach, C. von Dohnány, M. Pommer, Y. Kreizberg, T. Hengelbrock, D. Inbal, C.Tetzlaff, J.Jansen and A. Gilbert.
In Hamburg, he studied conducting at the "Hamburger Konservatorium" with T. Mittelberger and attended Masterclasses with R. Montenegro in Uruguay.
Naser was founder and conductor of the "Störphonie Youth Symphony Orchestra" in Germany performing several concerts in north Germany.
In 2011 Naser was awarded with the "Kurt Nölke" Prize (Germany).
Naser is Strategic Advisor of the "M.E.S.D.A." (Music Education for Social Development Agency) in the U.S. (since 2012 in residence at Harvard University).
As a Cultural Entrepreneur and Orchester Conductor, Naser gave conferences at " The David Rockefeller Center for Latinamerican Studies" in Cambridge. (U.S.).
He conducted the "Boston Latin Ensemble" at " The Rockefeller Center" in 2011 invited by the "Harvard University".
Naser had conducted many Orchestras like: "Montevideo Philharmonic Orchestra", "Panama Youth Symphony Orchestra", "Urguay National Youth Symphony Orchestra".
Incoming appointments as a conductor will take place in Mexiko, Uruguay and Europe.
Since 2012 Naser took several conducting lessons by Domingo Hindoyan (D.Barenboim´s 1st. Assistant at the Staatskapelle Berlin) and D.Salomon (Prof. for conducting at the Jerusalem academy of Music).
In 2013 was appointed as co-conductor of the Uruguay Youth Symphony Orchestra. Since then, Naser was working together with conductors and Soloists like J. Dos Santos,D.Salomon, P. Calderon and Bruno Gelber as an assistant conductor.
As a chamber musician he worked as a violist of the "Hamburger Camerata String Quinttet" and actually as a Violinist of the "Uruguay National String Quarttet".
As soloist he played with the Youth Orchestra of Uruguay, Hamburger Konservatorium´s Orchestra, and many recitals with piano in Uruguay, Germany and Austria.
Recently, he moved back to Uruguay as the director of the "El Sistema Academy of Music".
