Dieter Ilg wins ECHO Jazz for the 3rd time

Dieter Ilg named "Instrumentalist of the Year National Bass"

The German Phono-Academy announced the winners of this years ECHO Jazz on April 19th. We are very happy to congratulate German double bass player Dieter Ilg for being named "Instrumentalist of the Year National Double Bass/Bass Guitar". After winning the award in 2011 and 2014 for "Othello" and "Parsifal", he was now honored for "Mein Beethoven".

Dieter Ilg plays Thomastik-Infeld Spirocore strings and has been a Thomastik-Infeld endorsed artist since 2007.

The ECHO Jazz is a German music award from the German Phono-Academy, which has been awarded to jazz musicians every year since 2010. This year's ceremony will be held at Kampnagel in Hamburg on May 26th, 2016.
