What is the QR code on Thomastik-Infeld string packaging for? How does it work? And what else is there to know?
As of now, we are adding a security label to some of our string packaging. Find answers to the most important questions below.
Where can I find the Thomastik-Infeld security label?
We now provide some of our violin and viola string packaging with security labels. You will find these security labels on the back of the respective outer packages and/or the envelopes with single strings.
What does the Thomastik-Infeld security label look like?
The label is a small sticker with QR code on the back of selected Thomastik-Infeld string packaging boxes and envelopes.
Why is the security label not on all Thomastik-Infeld product packages?
The verification of our products via the security label is a pilot project. Therefore, for the time being, you will only find the security label on selected product packaging.
What is the Thomastik-Infeld security label for?
With our security label you can quickly and easily make sure that you really bought an original Thomastik-Infeld product.
How do I scan the Thomastik-Infeld security label?
With the camera or the QR code scanner on your cell phone.
What happens after I scan the QR code on the Thomastik-Infeld security label?
Scanning the QR code on the security label will take you to our product verification website. After scanning, peel off the top part of the sticker on the product packaging and enter the security code below to verify your product.
IMPORTANT: For security reasons, you can enter the code only 3 times to verify the product. If you enter the code more than 3 times, you will get an error message. In this case, please contact us by email ([email protected]).
What if my security code does not work?
In this case, please email us at [email protected], ideally right away with the following information:
- Which product did you buy?
- Where did you buy it?
- What code did you try to verify?
What if I can't find a security label on my Thomastik-Infeld strings?
If you cannot find a security label on the back of your packaging, this can have several reasons:
- Reason 1: Thomastik-Infeld security labels are currently only on the packaging of selected string products (see list below). On all other Thomastik-Infeld packages (e.g. other violin strings and strings for viola, cello, bass or guitar, pipa, erhu, oud) there is currently no such security label.
- Reason 2: You have purchased a product that was shipped before our security labels were introduced. Since our products have a very long life span, this does not affect their quality at all.
- Reason 3: There is a possibility that you have purchased a counterfeit product. Please write to us at [email protected]. We will be happy to help you find out if your strings are an original Thomastik-Infeld product.
