How much time is needed to achieve pitch stability?
The pitch stability depends on the core material of the string:
- Steel wire is immediately pitch stable and playable.
- Steel rope has a break-in time of about one day.
- Depending on the synthetic, it can take between five and 48 hours for the string to be pitch stable. Vision®, Rondo® and Peter Infeld® all need five hours, for example. Dominant®, Infeld Red® and Infeld Blue® need about two days.
