Do I need to clean my strings?
Why is it important to clean strings prior to putting them on the instrument? Sweat, skin particles and rosin dust reduce the vibration of the strings and can lead to a deterioration of sound. Clean the strings before winding them up with a 99.9% ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL and a SOFT MICROFIBER CLOTH. After playing, use a soft microfiber cloth to clean the strings on the instrument. Don’t use alcohol once the strings are on the instrument to prevent getting alcohol on the wood.
