How should I store my instrument?
If you need to store your instrument for a couple of weeks or months, we recommend doing this with old strings. Store your instrument with its usual pitch. Do not make it higher or lower. If you put new strings on an instrument just before you put it away and tune these, a sound color loss of up to 30 % can occur after just a few weeks. After fitting and tuning, strings need at least three hours of playing time before you can store the instrument for an extended period of time.
